“I am very thankful to have connected with Greg. I learned a lot and he offered some great advice and strategies. Not only did Greg share his knowledge and experiences, but he also listened, offered several actionable next-steps during my LinkedIn profile review, and introduced a new more holistic approach for me to take concerning my transition and career development moving forward. I am confident everyone would find value in a conversation with Greg, no matter what his or her goals are.”
– Ken Chambers (US Army)
“Greg offered me an outstanding view into how to properly branch out into the civilian work sector through social media platforms. He provided me with the right guidance, in the right manner, that I could receive. (Which is something that our current military TAP program neglects to do.) As a result of Greg’s assistance, I was able to adjust my LinkedIn account to reflect who I am, what I am passionate about, the success I have had, and what I can offer my future employer. In addition, I have been able to increase my connections from 120 to 426 within the past 3 months. As well as, an average profile view of 153-200 each week. Thus, I am sure that my brand is out there, and employers know I’m looking.”
– Gregory Stinyard (US Army)
“I want to thank Greg for his invaluable support in helping me improve my LinkedIn profile. With Greg’s input, not only did I improve my profile, but I gained a new level of confidence that my profile reflects who I am and the value I can bring to any organization. I appreciate his time, professionalism, and dedication to helping veterans in their next chapter. I wrote down the words Greg told me when I retired from the military and was entering the civilian sector. He stated, “You got this!” Those 3 words helped me whenever I doubted myself. Words cannot express how much I appreciate Greg and all he did for me.”
– Nia Clark (US Navy)
“I thought my LinkedIn profile was all set for success, but Greg’s recommendations became the springboard for progress! I am now beginning to utilize my profile more for creating my industry specific contacts and so far, the results seem to be working. I actually enjoy marketing and making contacts now that I have a greater degree of confidence when using LinkedIn. I feel that it’s taken more seriously now than ever before. I’d recommend Greg’s LinkedIn services for anyone serious about making the best connections possible using the LinkedIn platform, and for helping me to learn about its robust set of features that you’ve helped unlock for me. ”

“About a year ago, I was struggling to find a new job. Although I had skills obtained through the military and school, being a veteran living with service-connected disabilities, I wondered who would take a chance in hiring me. I knew I wanted to continue serving and that I have the skills and attitude to help teams with their needs, but I didn’t know if companies would be willing to take a chance on me.
I started looking online for advice on how to attract companies for jobs opportunities. Since it had been a while since I went through a job search, I started looking online for advice on how to prepare my resume. The advice I found online talked about the importance of building not just a strong resume but a good LinkedIn profile. I had not thought about my LinkedIn profile in some time and didn’t really know how important it was for getting a job. As I looked, I found that pretty much every job blog article I found mentioned LinkedIn. So, I decided to take on the challenge and update my LinkedIn and resume on my own. I thought “hey this is just like setting up a Facebook page or any other social media page”. How hard could it be?
After sprucing up my resume and tweaking my LinkedIn page, I was ready to begin applying for jobs. Every day, I went to the major job search sites and began applying for jobs I was interested in. Weeks would go by and every once in a while, I would receive emails from companies saying my resume was reviewed but I was not selected as a finalist. Why weren’t companies contacting me? This went on for months and eventually, I started to give up hope.
I was lucky to get connected to Greg Jenkins, he was a long-time Army veteran with an impressive background in an area I wanted to go into. I expected to talk to this hard charging drill sergeant type that would just tell me “a job is a job” and that I should take anything that pays. I braced myself during the first call but quickly realized I was wrong. Greg was this friendly down-to-earth voice that I didn’t expect to come out of my phone. He listened to me and what I wanted to accomplish. He was so knowledgeable and provided me with great feedback in a way that was more of a conversation. He listened attentively and together we created a plan to tackle each piece of the job readiness puzzle to help me reach my goal. Part of this support included offering to take a look at my resume and LinkedIn. For the next few weeks we went back and forth with shaping and refining my resume.
Then we went into my LinkedIn and worked on building a profile that was easy to read, conveyed what I wanted, and highlighted the skills I had from military through present day. I didn’t realize how much I was underselling my skills and abilities until I worked with Greg using his many techniques learned through his decades of experiences. Throughout the process working with him, I began to feel more confident that something would come from all of the changes, but I wasn’t sure how. After our final revision on LinkedIn, I saved the changes and decided to start applying again a few days later. Before I had the chance, I began receiving messages from recruiters and HR from companies asking me if I would be interested in working at their company. Major companies like Google, IBM, and other groups contacted me. I couldn’t believe. It didn’t stop. For months, I was contacted for jobs through LinkedIn before companies even saw my resume.
Eventually, I found a job I was interested in, applied, and after a month of interviewing I landed the job I wanted. I was so thrilled! Without Greg’s support, I don’t know if I would have made it this far in reaching my goal. To this day, I still receive over 60 views per week on my LinkedIn profile including high level professionals wanting to connect with me along with recruiters. I can’t thank him or the veteran e-mentor program enough for their support.”
